How do I register and get approved to bid in an upcoming auction?

While standard registration takes under 60 seconds, high-value timepiece and jewelry sessions may require a quick identity verification or bank reference check by our compliance team. We strongly advise registering at least 24 hours prior to the live auction start time to ensure seamless room access.
What is my initial bidding limit, and is a deposit required to increase it?
All first-time bidders are automatically granted an initial spending limit of $5,000. You can easily increase your limit up to $50,000 with zero deposit required. While a valid credit card on file is mandatory to secure your digital paddle, we do not charge your card or place temporary authorization holds to raise your limit. Your card is only charged if you successfully win an auction lot.
How do I request a bidding limit increase above $5,000?
To increase your limit before an event begins, make sure you have a credit card on file in your registration profile, then email our concierge desk at support@serenitygallerie.com with:
- A secure photo or scan of your Government-Issued ID.
- A brief note stating which specific lots or pieces you plan to bid on.
We highly recommend submitting your ID verification request at least 24 hours prior to the live auction to guarantee expedited approval.
Can I place absentee bids, and how do maximum bid limits work?
Yes. If you cannot attend our live online auctions, you can leave an ‘Absentee Bid‘ or configure a secret ‘Maximum Bid‘ directly inside the auction catalog ahead of time. The automated proxy system will confidently place bids on your behalf against competitors in the room, moving up only by the minimum mandatory bid increments required to keep you in the lead. The engine will never jump straight to your maximum limit, ensuring you secure the asset at the absolute lowest open-market value possible.
Is there a Buyer's Premium, and how are final invoices calculated?
Yes. In accordance with standard global auction regulations, all successful lots are subject to a Buyer’s Premium added to the final hammer price. Your total invoice amount will consist of the final winning hammer price, the applicable premium, transaction fee, and local sales tax.
Note for dealers: If you hold a valid sales tax exemption or resale certificate, it must be submitted to our concierge desk at support@serenitygallerie.com prior to auction close to omit tax calculations from your final statement.
How are won items shipped, and what is the delivery timeline?
Serenity Gallerie handles all fulfillment with white-glove care. Once your payment clears, typical shipment processing time is 5 to 14 business days for vault extraction, final inspection, and security packaging.
All domestic US shipments are fully insured, tracked, and provided at zero cost. Depending on courier protocols and total asset valuation, a signature may or may not be required at the time of delivery. International delivery logistics can be coordinated directly with our dispatch team upon invoice settlement.
